- Criccieth Castle (CADW) - dramatically located on rocky
peninsula.
- Lloyd George Memorial Museum, Llanystumdwy
- boyhood home of the politician David Lloyd George.
- Plas yn Rhiw
(NT) , Rhiw nr Pwllheli - 16th century small manor house
- Bardsey Island - former site of religious
pilgrimage (20,000 saints are buried there). Now a nature reserve.
- Water Sports
- Surfing - especially Abersoch and
Aberdaron.
- Sailing - everywhere, especially Pwllheli
and Abersoch.
- Birdwatching - dramatic cliffs are home
to the rare chough, as well as peregrine, raven and colonies of
auks.
- Beaches - numerous sandy beaches,
including: Criccieth, Pwllheli, Abersoch, Porth Neigwl, Aberdaron, Whistling
Sands (the sands whistle underfoot on a dry day!), Nefyn.
